Water is a powerful element of nature and we see evidence of this often in the damage it can cause to books, documents and works of art on paper. Sometimes we are asked to try to save precious family items that were stored in a leaky attic or flooded basement. While there is much that can be done, this is usually serious damage and an ounce of prevention would have been worth a pound of cure.
